 Our heavy-duty 8545 4-1/2" Hinge Template Jig offers woodworkers the fastest, easiest, and most precise method to rout hinge, strike plate, and lockset mortises. Our template guide is designed to guide your router with a bearing-guided bit (Woodhaven 8500 or 8505, sold separately) or a guide bushing and bit combo (5030K & 13416, sold separately), it ensures flawless, repeatable results every time. The jig securely attaches to a user-supplied 3/4" thick wood fence using included hardware, which prevents tear-out and simplifies indexing. Two screw-in indexing pins keep the fence perfectly square and allow you to set your preferred backset with confidence.
