5.75" diameter circular router base plate for compact routers. Features a 1-3/16" bit/bushing hole which accepts a Woodhaven Guide bushing (two-piece Porter Cable style).
7mm (1/4") thick white phenolic plate is 5-3/4" in diameter and includes mounting screws. Our Phenolic plate is more durable than the acrylic plates others sell. This router base plate solved two issues related to routing juice grooves in cutting boards. First, the oversize plate provided a lot more stability during routing and turning corners, so all four sides of a cutting board could be done in a continuous single pass around the board. Second, the thickness of the oversize plate was wider than the slots in the juice groove jig. The base plates of a couple other full-size routers were just thin enough and protruding over the edge of the router base casting to slide into the slot and slightly offset the groove in the boards. So, this was an excellent purchase for me.
