Snap Lock Tenons are click-fit connectors designed for Festool Domino joiners (DF500 & DF700) and compatible mortise machines with 8mm and 10mm cutter sizes. They snap firmly into place for fast, accurate alignment, dramatically reducing the total number of clamps needed. Ideal for panels, frames, and general joiner. Snap Lock Tenons make assembly quicker, cleaner, and more efficient—so you can spend less time clamping and more time building.
8mm: requires an 8mm cutter, widest width setting, and 15mm depth. Best for small to medium applications.
10mm: requires an 10mm cutter, widest width setting, and 15mm depth. Best for medium to larger applications.
Tips for Installation:
Install with Kreg 1" Pan Head Screws or similar alternative. For thinner stock, CA or Super Glue is a great alternative to hardware fasteners for the snap lock tenon.
Use the proper screws for your material. (i.e. course thread for softwood and sheet goods)
Do not over-tighten. Use an installation driver with variable torque adjustment to get a consistent install.
Adjust the torque as needed to increase or reduce the force necessary to snap the connectors together. The female connector should be as wide as possible, while adjusting the male connector to be wider or thinner
