RocYork Invisible Concealed Hinge Templates

Our two-step Hinge Jigs are the fastest, easiest and most accurate way to rout the two-step mortises required for invisible hinges. Made of 1/2" phenolic for heavy duty use, they measure 5-5/8" x 11-5/8" for maximum router support. Includes an 8" Double Track for mounting the jig and clamping to your work (no holes are drilled into your door). Clamps not included.

• 8732 is for the RYST60 / RYST60F with a 0.94" (24mm) wide x 4.33" (110mm) long shallow mortise, with a 3.78" (96mm) long deep mortise.
  
  • Requires a 1/2" solid carbide upcut spiral bit with a 1-1/2" cut length (15409 or equivalent, sold separately)
• 8734 is for the RYST80 / RYST80F / RYST120 / RYST120F with a 1.102" (24mm) wide x 6.3" (160mm) long shallow mortise, with a 5.43" (138mm) long deep mortise.
  • Requires a 1/2" solid carbide upcut spiral bit with a 2" cut length (15410 or equivalent, sold separately)

Hinge setback is set to 0.157" (4mm) per the manufacturer's specification.

Both templates require  a 3/4" Bushing & Locknut (5032K or equivalent, sold separately) to cut the mortises.  If using your own bushing, make sure the nose isn't over 3/8" long.

Jig clamps to the work (no nail holes) and, using your plunge router, both the long/shallow and short/deep mortises are cut without moving the jig or part. Has two retractable stops for the short/deep mortise. 

Optional 4512 Flip Stop mounts on an optional 4016 16" Double Track (minimum length recommended) for quicker part indexing. Allows setting the stop up to 6" from the hinge mortise, with a spacer required for short distances. We recommend two Flip Stops, one for each side of the jig. Optional longer Double Tracks (up to 95" - 4095) available to mount multiple two-step Hinge Jigs and Flip Stops.  Optional 6507 Self-Centering Drill centers itself in the invisible hinge screw mounting hole for a perfectly centered 7/64" pilot hole.
