I have a Delta 36-725 and I've wanted a zero clearance insert for a few years but haven't had any luck finding something that wasn't overpriced. I was planning on making my own until I found these.
They're cut well. No tare outs, clean edges, etc. The fit in my saw was close. It wouldn't drop in out of the box. The back left screw and back middle screw cutout both needed to have the edges brought in with a chisel, the back one slightly more than the left. Took me about 10 minutes making small adjustments. That got it to drop in side to side but it was still a little long. I sanded the front and back outside edges with 150 grit on a block of hardwood going slowly with lots of checking. The front edge took a little bit more than the back, all together it took about 5 minutes. That got it to drop in. The back right and back middle screw holes were a bit off, 15 seconds with a rat tail rasp took care of it.
It fits really well. Much better than factory. There is a slight bow up in the middle that I took down a bit whith sandpaper. With the front and back perfectly level it's still slightly bowed in the middle, but it's less than 1/32". Slight pressure, like when pushing a board along the fence, makes it perfectly level on all edges. It does flex more with a lot more pressure, but very slight, again less than 1/16".
This isn't phenolic, it's MDF, so it's not gonna be perfect and it's not $100 so I don't expect it to be. $27 for 3 is a good deal. A total of about 15 minutes and it's head and shoulders better than factory. Definitely looking forward to giving it a try.
