Our heavy duty Door Hinge Jigs are the fastest, easiest and most accurate way to route hinge mortises. Uses a bearing guided bit (our 8500 or 8505 - sold separately), or 5/8" bushing & 1/2" bit combination (5030K & 15407 - sold separately), to follow the jig for a perfect mortise. Jigs attaches to a 3/4" wood fence you supply with the included hardware. The fence provides chip-free cuts and easy indexing. Two screw-in indexing pins position the fence to the backset you want and insure it's square on the jig.

This is a well made hinge template producing accurate hinge mortises without having to deal with nail holes when securing the jig to the door. However since it uses a fence to secure the jig to the door it will work perfectly on square doors but you will have to shim the fence or clamp the actual jig to the door on doors with bevel edges in order to create a hinge mortise of equal dept.
Overall I am happy with this jig and the results produced.
