12" Round Clock Baltic Birch Blanks

Crafted out out of thick BB/BB 3/8" (9mm) Baltic birch furniture grade plywood our blanks are guaranteed to be good on both side, without obvious imperfections or fillers.  

This item is the wood blank only, it does not include any clock mechanism, hands or dials/ticks. Our clock blanks are designed to be used with standard off the shelf clock mechanisms with shafts up to 5/16". We recommend a shaft length of 17-28mm to ensure it can reach through the thickness of the blank. The center hole in our blank is slightly over 5/16" to ensure a seamless installation. Many different clock mechanism kits are available on Amazon or at your favorite craft store.  The clock dials or "ticks" are engraved 0.126" wide channels (just over 1/8")  and are 0.25" (1/4") deep. They accommodate 1/8" thick rectangles made out of plywood, aluminum or acrylic.  You can also pour epoxy into the ticks. 

Compared to regular plywood, Baltic Birch has thicker, stronger veneer layers with less knots and voids.  It also features a light color tone and grain pattern, making it excellent for staining or painting. 

Our deluxe 3/8" thick wood blanks are CNC cut and don't have any burning or charring around the perimeter often seen in cheap thin laser cut blanks.  Our blanks are ready for you to finish and enjoy or give as a gift.
